Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Job PurposeThe Snow Sports Instructors are passionate about skiing and snowboarding and teaching others to love our sport. Certified Snow Sports Instructors teach ski and snowboard classes in our private, group, and adult programs.This is a seasonal position Oct 17, 2025 - April 14, 2026. Status: Part Time Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPSIA Certification Level I or higherUpholding the highest levels of guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude, with varying winter weather conditions in a fast paced, potentially high-pressure environmentClearly and accurately instructing assigned levels of skiing or snowboarding to students, both physically and verballyAssisting guests to load and unload the chairliftCommunicating instructions and helping guests to their feet during a lesson.Working with guests of all ages and abilitiesWhen working with children: Supervising children in class at all times; assisting at lunch and snack times; ensuring return of children to identified guardianWhen working with children: Assisting in operational responsibilities of Ski & Snowboard programs including but not limited to registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting source, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, and cleanliness of facilities ? Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.Skills and Knowledge Requirements/CompetenciesPSIA Certification Level I or higherMust be at least 18 years oldHigh School equivalent educationSuccessfully complete a training camp and observation dayCapable of comfortably skiing/snowboarding on groomed blue runsPhysical ability to respond appropriately to emergency and other unplanned situationsMust be able to stand and walk on snow for extended periods of time. Must be able to bend and squat.Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Must have experience working with peopleMust have good guest service skillsMust have good communication skillsMust work well in a teamMust successfully complete the background checkMust be able to work in inclement weather in an alpine environmentMust have sight, speech, and hearing abilities sufficient to learn skills, follow and provide directionsMeet one of our flexible scheduling optionsEducation: High School Diploma or EquivalentExperience and/or Training: Previous instructing experienceLicenses/Certificates: PSIA or AASI certificationTechnology/Equipment: Computers, Smart Phones, Tablets, Alpine Ski and SnowboardPhysical and Mental Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
