Description What youll doLead a team of 612 engineers delivering NOS features end to end (design implementation test rollout and operations).Translate product/architecture goals into clear backlogs milestones and quality gates; manage predictable delivery.Review designs for correctness performance and operability across kernel/datapath on-box agents and telemetry.Uphold operational excellence: SLOs/error budgets canaries staged rollouts incident response and blameless postmortems with durable fixes.Build a feedback-rich culture; hire onboard coach and grow engineers; establish clear expectations and performance management.Collaborate with partner teams (Networking Compute Security SRE) to land dependencies resolve conflicts and align on SLAs/SLOs.Maintain secure development practices: signed artifacts change control auditability vulnerability management and compliance with Oracle policies. Scope and ownershipDomain ownership within NOS (e.g. datapath feature area on-box telemetry or a control plane agent) not the entire program.Operates with an M5 manager/architect for strategy; focuses on execution excellence team health and local technical leadership.Responsibilities Basic qualifications6 years in systems/networking software with 2 years managing engineers.Experience shipping production features in one or more: Linux kernel networking (qdisc netfilter XDP/eBPF) user-space datapath (DPDK) switch NOS components L2/L3 protocols QoS or on-box telemetry/observability.Demonstrated delivery using CI/CD feature flags canaries metrics-driven release criteria.Proven people leadership: hiring coaching performance management inclusive team practices.Solid cross-functional collaboration and clear written/spoken communication.
