Software Asset Management ManagerCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Software Asset Management Manager to join the team in in Seattle WA; Arlington VA; Auburn WA; Berkeley MO; Chicago IL; Colorado Springs CO; El Segundo CA; Englewood CO; Everett WA; Hazelwood MO; Houston TX; Huntington Beach CA; Huntsville AL; Kent WA; Long Beach CA; Mesa AZ; Miami FL; North Charleston SC; Oklahoma City OK; Plano TX; Portland OR; Renton WA; Ridley Park PA; Saint Charles MO; San Antonio TX; Seal Beach CA; Titusville FL; or Tukwila WA.We are seeking a Software Asset Management (SAM) Manager responsible for leading Boeings SAM strategy by establishing a clear governance framework and ensuring consistent execution across a global matrixed environment. This role delivers meaningful visibility into software usage and compliance so the business can make informed financial and operational decisions. The position also ensures the company is prepared for and responsive to audits by maintaining strong oversight of licensing and entitlement data. A key part of the role is building trust and alignment with teams across the enterprise such as Information Technology (IT) Procurement Security and Legal as well as with external vendors. By coordinating communication and driving shared accountability the SAM manager helps translate complex cross-functional activities into cohesive SAM initiatives that support broader business goals.Position Responsibilities:Develop and build an end-to-end SAM governance function supported by standardized policies processes procedures and tools in a matrixed global environment including but not limited to:Maintaining a centralized and secure repository of software license keys entitlements certificates and digital credentials in ServiceNowMonitoring and tracking license expirations renewals and usage metrics to ensure compliance and business continuityCollaborating with Procurement IT Security teams and others to support software acquisition and renewal processesEnsuring proper documentation and lifecycle management of software licenses including versioning and vendor termsAuditing and reconciling license usage data across various discovery toolsEstablishing and executing procedures for key rotation revocation and secure disposalSupporting onboarding/offboarding processes related to software access and credentialsProvide reporting and insights into license utilization gaps and optimization opportunitiesRespond to internal audits vendor audits and compliance assessments when called uponBuild and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders peers and external partners to foster collaboration and drive SAM successCollaborate cross-functionally with IT Procurement Security Legal and other groups as necessary to gain clarification of ongoing activities and embed requirements in SAM initiativesCoordinate commitments and communications with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategic initiativesBasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):7 years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) Software Asset Management (SAM) IT Security or related IT operational roles5 years of experience in a managerial role3 years of experience in general software licensing models (e.g. perpetual subscription user/device-based SaaS concurrent etc.) and vendor terms (e.g. Microsoft Oracle Adobe etc.)Experience working with ITAM tools (e.g. ServiceNow Flexera etc.)Experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadershipPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelors degree or higherCertifications such as Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) ITIL Foundation CompTIA Security or equivalent security knowledge etc.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
