Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country. DescriptionCaptivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer who will be acting as a Back-End Developer to assist with daily responsibilities.  ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot)Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices for web and mobile applicationContainerize applications within RKE2/AWS as containers/docker applications and manage deployments in cloud environments.Integrate and optimize services on AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS) also stateless workloadsCollaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managersImplement CI/CD pipelines and automate testing and deployment workflowsMonitor application performance and troubleshoot production issuesWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code RequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Fourteen (14) years’ experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is requiredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is requiredFour (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.Required Skills:Spring BootJavaAWSDevOps This position is open for direct hires only.
