You will play a key role in designing implementing and optimizing AI-driven solutions that will drive efficiencies in our customer onboarding and validation processes. The ideal candidate is driven by a passion for cutting-edge AI technologies and thrives on pushing boundaries in a groundbreaking innovative space backed by a solid foundation in software engineering principles.Key Responsibilities:Work collaboratively with the team to design develop test and debug scalable AI systems.Stay on the cutting edge of AI technologies and methodologies incorporating the latest advancements into engineering practices.Write quality code and tests that are maintainable accurate well tested and following best practicesBuild services and components upon the latest frameworks platforms and service providersMonitor dashboards and respond to alerts and keep services running smoothlyPartner with experts in specialized areas like usability cloud automation and service reliability in a technically complex environmentEstimate work and timelines with reasonable accuracy and articulate reasoning behind estimatesReduce the complexity of work through automation and scaling solutionsMonitor and help maintain health and availability of systems apps and related infrastructureExperiment in leveraging AI to solve business or customer problems.Location:Minneapolis Office - Hybrid work but 2 days per month in the officeRequired Qualifications:A Bachelors degree plus at least 2 years of related experience; a Masters degree plus at least 1 year of related experience; a PhD without experience; or equivalent education and experience Experience withPython (or Java) Databricks Cloud technologies and utilizing AI-powered developer tools (e.g. Git-Hub Copilot Cursor) while staying stay on top of AI trends and conceptsUnderstands how AI and ML technologies (e.g. generative AI predictive models natural language processing) apply to product and engineering conceptsProven experience writing quality code and tests that are maintainable accurate well-tested and follow best practicesHands-on experience with software development practices and can develop applications that are diverse in scope where good judgement and problem-solving skillsTeam player with strong communication skills to proactively communicate status and risks within their teamAbility to balance multiple tasks concurrentlyand to work AutonomouslyNice To Have Experience: AI agent basicsMCP servers clients and using MCPs as agent toolsRetrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) vector stores GraphRAGAI-enhanced workflows such as spec-driven development.Front end experience with JavascriptWhat We Offer:At SPS Commerce we are committed to ensuring that each employees compensation reflects their unique experiences performance and skills in their role. The salary range for this role considers several factors including education relevant skills work history certifications location and more.The annual salary range for this role is: $93600 - $114400. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.Additionally you may also be eligible to participate in an annual incentive program.
