DescriptionDescriptionWelcome to PXGEOPXGEO is an innovative marine geophysical service provider combining the strengths of ocean bottom and towed streamer seismic data acquisition techniques to deliver seamless subsurface imaging for a sustainable future.Whats the roleThis role will be part of our Manta Technology team andwill be responsible for architecting and implementing the core server-side components that power Digest core applications. This position will be responsible for developing new programs and producing updates or amendments in accordance with the constraints set in the development plan. This position will collaborate closely with front-end engineers data scientists and geophysicists to ensure seamless performance across offshore deployments and field operations. Key responsibilities include:Design and implement robust scalable and secure back-end services for real-time data ingestion processing and distributionDeliver high-quality software by continuously enhancing functionalities boosting programming productivity and optimizing maintenance costsOptimize system performance for high-throughput low-latency environments across offshore and remote networksAssess the technical implications of actions on the entirety of the softwareImplement authentication authorization and data protection protocols in compliance with industry standardsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to align back-end architecture with operational and user interface requirementsConduct code reviews enforce development standards and mentor junior engineersInterface directly with PXGEOs technical teams to ensure system compatibility with seismic acquisition workflowsWho are we looking forBachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related disciplineMinimum 5 years of professional experience in back-end development with a focus on distributed systems and data-intensive applicationsProficiency in C with strong understanding of asynchronous programming and concurrency models. Some python experience preferred.Strong knowledge of Linux-based operating systems. Preferred Debian OSStrong knowledge of TFTP APIs preferred.Experience with database development including both SQL and NoSQL (JSON) queries.
