In this next phase, we have some amazing infra, engineering, product, and GTM opportunities ahead of us this year, and we are looking for exceptional members to join us for this adventure.About the RoleAs a Backend Engineer at Warp, you'll be directly responsible for developing new product features and payroll infrastructure that is fast and reliable. You will be focused on ensuring that our products are bulletproof and our code is well-written while we move fast and scale faster. As a Backend Engineer at Warp, you will:Build performant, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems capable of processing billions of dollars globally from the ground upHelp us scale 10x in the next yearHave ownership as we redesign our tech stackCollaborate directly with the CTO and CEOBe willing to live in New York City and be able to work regularly out of our office in SoHoYou will be good for this role if you:Love programming and obsess over detailsAre product-minded with an emphasis on end-user experienceHave shipped libraries or services that many users rely onUnderstand payments infrastructure and its unique challengesTo succeed in this role, you need:Experience designing, building, testing, and collaborating in complex codebasesKnowledge of modern infrastructure and deployment methodsStrong expertise in any modern programming language, especially strongly typed onesHigh agency and the ability to figure things outWorking At WarpThis is not going to be a routine 9-5 job. Working with us means having high ownership. You may need to stay up late fixing issues or deploying something urgent. We believe in high craftsmanship, obsessing over details, and giving it our best. And we do that alongside an incredibly driven and top-tier team working in person in NYC.Our team is all based in New York City, and we work 5 days in person at our beautiful office in SoHo. For this role, you'll need to be in person. Remote candidates will not be considered for this role.
