As part of the team, you will be involved in designing and implementing new capabilities for this platform, and also in deployment using CI/CD principles. You will be working with the software that fundamentally enables the internet to operate at scale.The Person:We're looking for a mid-level software engineer who demonstrate:strong collaboration skillsa track record for high quality and impactful delivery demonstrating strong design skills and a passion for code qualitytrue craftsmanship, who enjoys breaking down tough problemspassion for producing quality code and dedicated to best practices such as automated testing, code reviews, continuous integration, and continuous deploymentthat they are an agent for change, constantly learning and seeking better outcomesskill at interacting and working with people in a positive manner to mitigate key project technical risks and ensure qualityRequired Skills:Has solid understanding of writing software in C++ or similar system-level programming languagePython or similar scripting languageProven foundation in Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, operating systems, object-oriented design)Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible)Proficient with LinuxOutstanding problem solving and trouble-shooting skillsExcellent teammate who enjoys a collaborative team environmentRelevant Experience:5+ years of relevant work experience in software development2+ years of C++ or similar system-level programming languageWorking on an Agile software development teamBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experienceBonus Skills:Hands on experience with the Rust programming languageFamiliarity with DNS at the protocol levelFamiliarity with containerization tools like Docker and KubernetesThis position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a hybrid work schedule.The pay range is $108,900 - $147,300.The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience.
