By streamlining data flows between payers and solutions a world of opportunity exists to improve access to healthcare.The Role:At FlumeHealth were simplifying healthcare administration through modern technology. Were seeking a highly capable software engineer to help design and evolve the core data platform that powers our data lake pipelines and integrations. Youll play a key role in shaping the foundational systems that ingest structure and serve healthcare data from payer claims and eligibility to EDI transactions securely and at role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in hands on technical work and platform design and enjoys building high impact reliable data infrastructure in a startup environment.What Youll Do:Design build and operate the core frameworks and infrastructure for distributed data processing using technologies that include Go Python Iceberg K8sDevelop reusable frameworks libraries and internal APIs that make it easy for product and data teams to build reliable pipelines and integrations.Architect systems that handle both realtime and largescale batch workloads efficiently ensuring reliability observability and costeffectiveness.Collaborate with data engineers backend engineers and analysts to evolve our ecosystem of data sources connectors and quality controls.Collaborate and document engineering standards for how we build deploy and operate data services.Help ensure security and compliance of all data movement and storage.What Youll Need:5years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend or platform systems.Strong proficiency inGo including building concurrent and distributed systems.Experience with data lake architectures especially ApacheIceberg or DeltaLake and familiarity with engines likeTrino / Presto / Dremio.Solid experience operating production systems on GoogleCloudPlatform (GCP): CloudStorage IAM Pub/Sub CloudRun/KNative etc.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker Kubernetes KNative).Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts (scalability reliability consistency).Experience developing data pipelines or ingestion frameworks ideally inGoorPython.Strong systemdesign and problemsolving skills especially around largescale data movement and performance.Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.Nice to Have:Prior experience with healthcare payer systems or healthcare data standards (EDI X12FHIR HL7).Deep understanding of data lakehouse concepts (schema evolution ACID tables metadata/catalog management).Experience building secure internal developer platforms or data quality frameworks.Compliancedriven environment experience (HIPAA SOC2).Familiarity with Auth0 or similar identity&access management solutions.Technologies We Use:Languages:Go(primary)PythonSQLDataLake&Query: IcebergTrinoCloud &Infra: KnativeGCP(StorageCloudRunPub/Sub)Databases&APIs:PostgreSQLRESTAPIsAuth0Salary Range:$140K to $180KFlumes Perks & BenefitsFlexible PTO - youre going to be working hard so enjoy time offA robust stock option plan to give our employees a direct stake in Flumes successWFH stipend - weve always been remote firstCompetitive compensation and 401k with a 4% matchComprehensive health coverage (medical dental vision) Key Skills Anti Money Laundering,Employee Relations,Actuarial,Attorney At Law,Big Data,Filing Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Monthly Salary Salary: 140 - 180
