Our platform enables student-centered education through robust reliable software systems.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to lead our error monitoring and resolution efforts. This role is critical to maintaining the stability and reliability of our platform which serves thousands of educators and students daily. You will be responsible for configuring and managing our Sentry implementation triaging production issues and developing intelligent systems to automate error resolution.Primary ResponsibilitiesConfigure optimize and maintain Sentry error monitoring across our application stackMonitor triage and resolve production issues reported through SentryInvestigate root causes of errors and implement sustainable fixesDevelop and maintain an AI-powered agent to automatically propose resolutions for common error patternsCollaborate with development teams to improve error handling and logging practicesCreate documentation and runbooks for error resolution proceduresWork closely with quality assurance and technical support teams to improve overall system reliabilityRequired Qualifications3 years of professional software development experienceStrong proficiency modern web application developmentStrong proficiency in PHP Python JavaScript or similar programming languageExperience with error monitoring and logging systems (Sentry Datadog New Relic or similar)Knowledge of application performance monitoring and optimizationDemonstrated ability to debug complex production systemsExperience with version control systems (Git/SVN)Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience developing or integrating with AI/LLM systemsBackground in educational technology or K-12 school operationsExperience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelinesSolid understanding of relational databases and query optimizationTechnical EnvironmentLanguages: PHP 7 (with 8 in the pipeline) JavaScript PythonCloud Services: AWSDatabases: PostgreSQL SQL Server DynamoDBTools: Sentry SVN Jira ConfluenceBenefitsMedical InsuranceDental/Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceShort and Long Term Disability Insurance401(k) after 6 monthsPaid HolidaysPaid Vacation and Sick TimeFully RemoteTo ApplyPlease submit your resume along with examples of relevant projects particularly any work involving error monitoring systems or AI integration.
