This includes writing coding testing and analyzing software programs and applications. The Software Engineer II will also research design document and modify software specifications throughout the development life cycle.*This role will be Hybrid (2-days a week in office) if you are located within 50 miles of our Corporate Offices in either Mendota Heights MN or Loveland CO. In-person attendance is expected to foster collaboration innovation and team connection. Essential FunctionsCollaborates with clients developers and other team members in the conceptualization and development of new or existing software applications.Assists in the definition development and documentation of softwares business requirements objectives deliverables and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.Helps research identify analyze and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users and stakeholders.Executes software testing on new and existing programs for the purpose of correcting errors and general debugging.Participate in defining software development project plans including scoping scheduling and implementation.Provides higher level support for incoming incident tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues. Partners with other engineers in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.Performs other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsBachelors Degree in Computer Science Management Information Sciences Mathematics Engineering Business or area of functional responsibility preferred or a combination of equivalent education and experience5 years of programming experience . Should have prior experience within various platforms and languages including: C# VB and Object-Oriented Programming in a Windows Forms and SQL Server environmentKnowledge of all aspects of application development and project life cycles including Agile and Scrum practicesExcellent understanding of coding methods and best practicesExtensive relational database and operating systems experience with emphasis on SQL Server and WindowsFluency in object-oriented programming and designAbility to conduct research into software-related issues and productsProficiency with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPointMust complete a basic OO programming exercise to our satisfaction prior to interviewPreferred QualificationsExperience using source code management systems and feature branching strategies such as Git Flow and GitHub FlowExperience using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Crystal ReportsExperience with cloud providers such as Azure and GCPKnowledge of WCF Web API and webservices in generalKnowledge of Microsoft WPF UWP WinUI or MAUIKnowledge of event-driven architectureKnowledge of domain driven designKnowledge of enterprise software design patterns such as Factory and MVVMUnderstanding of corporate governance business cases and return on investment conceptsTravel and On-callThis role requires minimal travel and on-call duties.The potential compensation range for this role is below.
