No matter where you are or how you express yourself its always the fastest way to share a moment!Were looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Specs team at Snap Inc!What youll do:Design implement and operate features across Spectacles device mobile app and cloud to enrich Spectacles product experiences and fulfill our vision of spatial computingWork with Product Design and partners across teams to understand product requirements evaluate trade-offs and deliver the solutions needed to build innovative productsEvaluate appropriately test and debug your work striving for high qualityPlan for roadmap direct work for others and lead by example by crafting high quality deliverablesKnowledge Skills & Abilities:Deep knowledge of software development in web frontend and scalable backend systems including distributed services and microservices architecture.Proven ability to debug troubleshoot and operate mission-critical cloud-based systems in a production environment.Experience in delivering top quality performant and scalable code with extensive unit / functional testingExcellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detailAbility to independently lead and execute on medium to large sized features that take multiple weeks and multiple iterations of PRs to completeAbility to drive cross team collaboration and align with adjacent teams and work to achieve shared goalsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in a relevant technical field such as computer science or equivalent years of practical work experience6 years of experience with consumer-facing backend software development3 years of experience in using TypeScript and to develop web frontend and backendExperience with relational NoSQL or vector databases (e.g. PostgreSQL DynamoDB Pinecone) in a production environment.2 years of experience in mentoring junior team membersPreferred Qualifications:Direct experience with building and deploying low-latency real-time backend services to support AR/VR devices specifically on major cloud providers (e.g. AWS GCP).Experience with SQL NoSQL and vector databases (e.g. PostgreSQL DynamoDB Pinecone)Experience with modern web front-end technologies (e.g. Tailwind CSS shadcn/ui)Deep understanding of database optimization indexing and high-availability patterns for data at scale.In-depth experience with Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS) platforms like Supabase or Firebase for rapid prototyping and production-scale deployment.If you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation please dont be shy and provide us some information.Default Together Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster reinforce our values and serve our community customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidates starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills experience qualifications work location and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.Zone A (CA WA NYC):The base salary range for this position is $209000-$313000 annually.Zone B: The base salary range for this position is $199000-$297000 annually.Zone C:The base salary range for this position is $178000-$266000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
