Software Engineer – Team Leader for Regions Bank– Hoover, AL Job Description: Responsible for devising or modifying procedures to solve complex problems with consideration for computer limitations, operating time, and the form of desired results. Responsible for application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. Monitor system applications and ensure systems run smoothly, creating reports and other documentation outlining findings/solutions and supporting users. Assign and direct the work of team members; Estimating team-level timelines and technical efforts for planning purposes; Assisting with the review and evaluation of personnel performance; Planning, conducting, and supervising assignments for the team; Evaluating progress and results and recommending major changes in procedures; Executing compliance remediation as needed; Designing, developing, testing, and deploying software using a combination of custom and off-the-shelf tools; Collaborating cross-functionally with architects, business users, project managers/Scrum Masters, and other engineers to achieve sustainable solutions in a complex environment; Monitoring, maintaining, and continuously improving existing software applications; Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving technical and functional software issues; Completing documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance; Participating in code reviews, code quality checks, and developer integration testing; Applying design patterns in all development activities; Identifying, documenting, and implementing non-functional requirements; Building, maintaining, and executing test automation suite; Taking independent action, making decisions, and taking ownership of applications as needed; Planning and estimating work effort; Identifying and implementing software performance improvements; and Conducting code reviews, code quality checks, and developer integration testing. This is an individual contributor position. Eligible for hybrid remote work. Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Requires 7 years of experience. Must have some experience in each of the following skills: Experience building web applications with Rest APIs integration of Micro services in .NET Core technologies; Full stack developer with Microsoft technologies; Experience in two or more Integrated Development Environments and languages including C#, .Net core, Java scripting, Objective-C, Visual Studio, and Eclipse. Experience developing against common API technologies including REST and SOAP; Experience with ASP.NET WebAPI and .Net Core; Knowledge of Rest APi life cycle; Knowledge of responsive web design; Experience with Mulesoft or other API integration platforms; Experience with containerized application development and knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift; Understand and analyze system and SQL bottleneck, and able to troubleshoot; and Experience with CI / CD pipeline.
