The team develops critical embedded systems powering Applied Intuitions revolutionary Vehicle OS platform transforming how global automakers build software-defined vehicles. Engineers work with real-time operating systems board support packages and hardware abstraction layers to enable next-generation automotive experiences and intelligent vehicle software platforms.As Engineering Manager Firmware you will lead a team of talented engineers building embedded C/C systems RTOS implementations and low-level hardware integrations. Your teams work will directly impact how vehicles sense process and respond to complex environments and industry demands.At Applied Intuition you will:Manage and mentor a team developing core firmware solutions for Vehicle OSDrive technical execution architecture and hands-on development of embedded systems including Linux QNX and hardware abstractionGuide the integration of sensors and hardware with real-time firmware and board support packagesPartner with product hardware and software teams to deliver reliable production-grade automotive softwareExecute firmware and low-level software code reviews and provide technical leadershipSet a compelling roadmap for firmware innovation balancing speed technical quality and team productivityContribute to recruiting efforts team building and ongoing mentoringWere looking for someone who has:Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field preferably from top programs (Stanford Berkeley CMU Waterloo or similar)Significant experience in embedded firmware or low-level RTOS developmentHands-on background with ADAS Linux Kernel QNX and sensor integrationStrong programming skills in C/C with expertise in hardware/software co-designTrack record of code reviews and technical leadership; direct coding experience is a strong plusExperience in software project management and technical documentationNice to have:Experience with cloud-connected vehicle platforms SDV architectures and AI-driven automotive applicationsPrior experience in technical sales support or application engineering for embedded software productsKnowledge of functional safety (ASIL levels) cybersecurity (ISO 21434) and AUTOSAR tooling (DaVinci Tresos Vector etc.)Background in electrical/electronic architecture and software integration in modern vehiclesCompensation at Applied Intuition for eligible roles includes base salary equity and benefits.
