We are looking for a hands-on engineer who is passionate about quickly building and testing new AI applications.As a Software Engineer Resident on the SAIGE team your primary goal will be to rapidly prototype and iterate on different potential solutions to explore new AI use cases focusing relentlessly on speed tangible outcomes and production readiness.What Youll DoDesign implement and test full-stack features for agentic AI frameworks and products contributing Python across the stackRapidly prototype and deploy solutions to explore and validate new AI use cases prioritizing speed and iterationDeliver tangible outcomes by shipping high-quality production-ready code and demonstrating value through working featuresParticipate in design discussions and rigorous code reviews helping establish and uphold team best practicesManage and leverage cloud resources while collaborating closely with a small world-class team to drive new product ideas forwardRequired QualificationsCurrently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a B.S. or M.S. program in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related technical fieldVery strong programming proficiency in a modern programming language ideally PythonComfortable and experienced with Linux-based systems and the command lineDemonstrated experience working on projects that involve the integration of software with physical hardwareAuthorization to work in the United StatesPreferred QualificationsExperience with frontend development in React TypeScript and storybooksFamiliarity with embedded systems firmwareFamiliarity with building testing and deploying applications within a mature software development environment (e.g. using Git CI/CD etc.)Experience working with cloud infrastructure preferably within AWSFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code and orchestration tools like Terraform and AnsiblePrevious internship or project experience in the software development industryKey Competencies & Personal AttributesA proactive self-starter mentality coupled with a strong sense of ownership accountability and a strong bias for action.A high level of intellectual curiosity and a genuine strong desire to learn continuously.Exceptional strategic thinking capabilities combined with a practical roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to ensure execution and get things done effectively.Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to thrive adapt and maintain high performance in a rapidly evolving and sometimes unstructured environment.Technology StackOur stack includes Python Postgres Redis TypeScript and React. Were looking for a candidate with an understanding of these technologies especially when deployed and scaled within major cloud environments (such as AWS GCP or Azure). The ability to rapidly learn new technologies and cloud services as needed is essential.*This is a fixed term (12-month) employment opportunity*Applications must be submitted by the end of day on Monday December 1 2025.The US base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be $90k - $110k per year. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
