Join us and you can build something better for yourself for our customers and for the world.As a small wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company Spectrolab offers the daily variety of work direct interaction with manufacturing customers and suppliers and family feel of a small company while offering the benefits and stability of a recognized global industrial champion.As a member of our Manufacturing/Process Engineering team you will have the opportunity to work on projects covering the entire range of Spectrolabs products: everything from large and small solar cell assemblies panels and arrays for a variety of space applications using the worlds highest efficiency solar cells to airborne searchlight/gimbal systems and ground-based high-intensity illuminated test systems. You will also have the opportunity to directly contribute to development programs and to help shape our next-generation improvements in product process and tooling design.Position Responsibilities:Develops and implements production processes and generates/maintains process documentation to ensure correct and consistent process application in productionAnalyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitionsParticipates in gated process/product reviews and presents PFMECA and process/training readiness information to both internal and external customersLeads and implements manufacturing plans and assists in developing and maintaining manufacturing training requirementsSupports definition of required tooling methodologies to ensure consistent process applicationConducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirementsAssists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practicesIdentifies leading edge technologies materials or process improvements and targeted automation to improve ergonomics safety cost and scheduleDevelops and monitors SPC and process paretos to identify and correct process drift and identify and implement continuous improvements to product and processResolves technical problems of significant impact to performance cost or scheduleThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is Person includes US Citizen lawful permanent resident refugee or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science3 years of experience in manufacturing or production engineering role1 years of experience in assembly or mechanical workPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):5 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceGeneral Array Integration and Test operations supportMaintaining production procedure and documentationExperience Leading or participating in LEAN events (AIW 3P etc.)Experience with Factory Automation business capabilities such as machine tool integration and/or fabricationExperience leading RCCA investigationsExperience with Database design/development (SQL preferred)Experience as process trainer (maintain training record)Familiarity with AS9100 NASA AIAA and other Aerospace standardsExperience in hands on troubleshooting & resolving of process and/or test and/or software issuesDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana cocaine opioids amphetamines PCP and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Shift Work Statement: This position is for 1st shift.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract engage and retain the top talent.
