JOB TITLE: Solder Assembler LOCATION: Clearwater FL PAY RATE: $26/hour We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. Job Details: Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension) Shift: Monday Thursday 5:00 AM 3:30 PM EST (First Shift) Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation Benefits: Medical dental and vision (Cigna) Perks: Bonus potential Priority access via Tier 1 supplier Openings Nationwide: Thousands of opportunities across the U.S. Qualifying Questions: Are you a U.S. person as defined under ITAR regulations Do you meet the educational and experience requirements for this role Can you commute to the job location or relocate if necessary Summary: Use a microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation manually align parts before soldering and perform post-reflow inspection and touch-up. Identify and repair solder defects including poorly wetted joints solder voids/insufficient solder solder shorts/bridges misaligned parts/leads tombstoned or billboarded components and other SMT-related issues. Use Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to aid in identifying solder defects and distinguish false calls from real issues. Read instructions and identify standard SMT components accurately. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment; some overtime may be required. Sit for long periods and focus on detailed repetitive tasks. Use rework equipment such as hot air pencils hot plates and BGA removal tools (ERSA or other OEM). Review boards under X-ray to identify solder defects on bottom-terminated components. Run solder and tack down jumper wires on redesign boards (a plus). IPC-A-610 (expired or active) and IPC J-STD-001 (expired or active).
