Kelly Services is seeking a skilled SOLDERER in Melbourne!

This role is responsible for assembling and soldering electronic components on a variety of circuit board assemblies encompassing Pin Thru-hole and Surface Mount Technologies.

Shift & Pay rates:

1st Shift: Mon-Fri (1 Sat. a month) / 7:00am to 3:30pm

$20.00 hour (negotiable DOE)

Possible Overtime available

What's a typical day as a Solderer? You'll be:

• Following assembly procedures and process documentation.
• Verifying integrity of material to be assembled.
• Assembling and/or soldering electronic components in specific printed circuit board locations, following procedure and/or visual aide instruction.
• Inspecting circuit board assembly parts to determine soldering requirements.
• Pre-forming component leads per process documentation.
• Identifying and reporting defective components.
• Responsible for the accuracy of work-in process associated with work cell. Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and surrounding work space. Understand and follow all applicable ISO and job specific procedures.
• Maintaining ESD integrity within production environment.
• May train other employees.
• Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education.
• Certification in Soldering or J-STD-001.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in soldering electronics preferred.
• Must pass soldering skills test.
• Knowledge of component identification and component nomenclature.
• IPC-A-610 Certified desired.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and IPC Standards.
• ESD Training.
• Ability to read procedures and interpret visual aids.
• Basic computer skills, problem solving and workstation skills.
• Experience with high-volume work.
• Must have the ability to operate in a multi-tasking, highly dynamic work environment.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
