Soldering Technician at Aerotek
JOB DESCRIPTION
Soldering Technician (1st Shift)
Join our team as a Soldering Technician on the first shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm. As a Soldering Technician, you will spend 90% of your day soldering and performing various tasks related to electronic assembly. We offer weekly pay and overtime paying time and a half. Responsibilities
- Perform hand soldering of surface mount components on PCBs.
- Solder wires, connectors, terminals, and electronic components.
- Read assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Inspect solder for quality, completeness, and defects.
- Perform rework and repair on assemblies.
- Use hand tools such as soldering irons, tweezers, magnification devices, and small tools.
- Complete documentation for quality records.
- Utilize a computer to document and retrieve work orders.
- Assist in other departments as necessary.
- Conduct tinning and terminating of wires.
- Perform quality inspections and testing using a volt meter.
- Engage in cable assembly, prepping wire, and hand crimping wires.
- Work with circuit boards and perform soldering on connectors.
- Cut wires based on work instructions, perform soldering on the ends, and crimp pins.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of hand soldering experience.
- Ability to work with a microscope and magnifying lamp.
- Capability to perform repetitive tasks requiring high attention to detail.
- Experience reading schematics and basic assembly instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in using a volt meter and performing electronic assembly.
- Familiarity with circuit boards and work instructions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Solon, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
