Job Summary
The Clumpies Team Leader is responsible for leading the daily operations of Clumpies Ice Cream. This role includes supervising partners, maintaining operational standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines, and assisting with inventory, cash handling, and guest service excellence. Under the direction of the Clumpies Manager, the Clumpies Team Leader supports a culture of excellence by coaching partners, supporting production, and delivering exceptional guest experiences:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent guest service to internal and external customers in alignment with Rock City Enterprises' mission, culture, and values.
- Model the values of the Culture of Excellence in all guest and partner interactions.
- Maintain ServSafe Certification.
- Maintain high Mystery Shop scores and coach partners to achieve the same.
- Ensure compliance with health codes and safety standards to maintain a high health score.
- Ensure all team members are properly trained in food safety and preparation.
- Increase sales through guest service, product knowledge, and inventory control.
- Oversee ordering, invoicing, and product transfer controls.
- Monitor cash handling procedures to minimize shrink and loss.
- Address guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Supervise portion control and ensure product quality to minimize waste.
- Review and address cash overages/shortages.
- Complete daily cash logs, make deposits, and maintain attendance records.
- Monitor time and temperature controls consistently.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Perform cashier, food prep, and guest service duties as needed.
- Assist in ice cream production and wholesale order fulfillment, including invoicing.
- Provide daily supervision and direction to partners, ensuring duties are completed effectively.
- Serve as a point of contact for guest feedback in the absence of the manager, keeping management informed.
- Train new partners in guest service, food safety, and operational procedures.
- Assist with interviews for new partner candidates as needed.
- Lead, coach, and motivate partners to perform in alignment with company values.
- Adhere to organizational processes and procedures at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- ServSafe Certification required.
- Experience leading a team of 6+ preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Outgoing, friendly personality with a passion for providing excellent guest service.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact in one-on-one and group settings.
- Ability to perform basic math functions and handle money accurately.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Regular use of hands and fingers.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch frequently.
- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Compensation details: 19-19.25 Hourly Wage
