Join us and take your place in space.The National Systems Group serves as the technical advisor to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence including electronics programs advanced technologies ground and communications imagery programs and systems engineering and launch.The Survivability and Resilience Office (SRO) of the Advanced Technology Division offers broadening opportunities to make a lasting impact on mission success in a rapidly evolving mission area that requires end-to-end integration cross-organizational reach has varying mission assurance and acquisition approaches and spans R&D to major system acquisition. We are looking for a Spacecraft Systems Engineer (Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer -- Multi-Disciplinary Engineering) to provide programmatic and technical expertise for a major this role youll bring the best of Aerospace to provide deep technical skills across multiple engineering disciplines to address top issues for a critical system needed to protect US space assets.The selected candidate will be required to work full-time on-site at our facility in Chantilly VA.What Youll Be Doing:Serve in a government program office as a trusted advisor for a major space system acquisitionCollaborating with program office contractor and ETG counterparts in a high-velocity environment to execute an innovative tailored mission assurance baseline for a high-visibility first of its kind Major Systems Acquisition programManaging development and execution of verification and validation plans on-orbit initialization plans and operational demonstration plans through manufacture integration test and launchMonitoring development activities and ensuring standards compliance at several factory locations around the U.S.Leading development / publication of periodic program Mission Assurance Reports detailing Aerospace contributions and highlighting programmatic risksLeverage Aerospaces premier analysis simulation and laboratory resources in the Engineering and Technology Group matrix to bring the best of Aerospace to support program needsWhat You Need to be Successful Minimum Requirements for the Project Engineer Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Role:Bachelors degree in engineering science mathematics or a related technical fieldMinimum 6 years of progressively more responsible experienceKnowledge of DoD and/or IC space systems acquisitionKnowledge of systems engineering processes to include requirements generation and verificationExperience working in multi-disciplinary teams and impacting program decision-makingWilling to travel domestically approximately 10% of the time.This position requires a current and active TS/SBI/SCI security clearance and polygraph which is issued by the U.S. government.
