What would this role doThe Direct Support Professional plays a critical role in implementing behavioral health treatments for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Through strategic programs and initiatives this position will assist families seeking support with Autism and other related developmental disabilities by providing behavioral health treatment in-home at a support center or in a community. This position is responsible for making meaningful change in the Client and families life.What we offer (We like to get right to it!)Competitive compensation (we value transparency) $19.00-$20.50/hourAn additional incentive of $0.50 up to $1.50 per hour can be applied for applicable case supportMonday-Sunday between the hours of 3:00pm-8:00pm. (Must have weekend availability)10-24 hours weekly (Starting with minimal hours working your way up to more)Cities Targeting- Visalia/TulareMust be bilingual in SpanishWe aim to match you with clients near your home and we offer mileage reimbursement if your client is over 20 miles away.Student loan repayment assistanceâfor eligible rolesBonus program(s)âfor eligible rolesCareer development and advancement opportunitiesâFlexible schedulingâGreat and fun company cultureââExpansive Health Vision and Dental plans for our full-time partnersââ401(K) retirement savings programMileage and phone reimbursementâfor eligible rolesAnd so much more!Role Responsibilities (Heres what it takes)Direct Support Professional staff provide assistance and supervise consumers in activities of daily livingincluding but not limited to bathing dressing and toileting.Responsible for adhering to and documenting an individuals program as directed by the Program Coordinator or Department as program design/behavioral support and/or intervention plans.Be able to fulfill any number of roles to fit the unique programming needs of each individual client while supporting at different stages of the clients life including but not limited to: at an afterschool program at a college/university at his or her part time job and at a Day Program or Group Home setting.Responsible for adherence to standards procedures and schedules established by their supervisor.Communicate information and/or issues that arise in a timely manner in accordance with company policy.Attend and complete all initial and on-going training requirements.Meet punctuality and attendance standards as outlined by the organization.Document consumers progress andcommunicate findings to program coordinator.Prepare and submit behavioral and incident reports as necessary.Be prepared to adequately manage and de-escalate behavioral outbursts including but not limited to physical and verbal aggression property destruction elopement self-injurious behaviors and self-stimulatory behaviors.Must Haves (Yes we have needs!)High School Diploma or GED (minimum)Reliable TransportationSuccessfully complete LiveScan background check employment verification and TB screeningBe able to lift up to 30 lbs. while assisting consumers.Be able to run bend sit and stand for periods at a time.Nice to haves (Very demure very mindful)Empathy and compassion towards the families we support.Maintains professional demeanor boundaries and composure.Demonstrates effective communication and shows ability to implement existing behavioral plans.Implement outlined plans to achieve desired goals.Ability to connect with clients and families by adapting to their specific needs.Be comfortable working in clients homes.Work in both indoor and outdoor settings as they relate to the patients natural environment which may include being outdoors in a variety of weather conditions (e.g. community skills recess in a school setting etc.)360 Behavioral Healthâis an equal opportunity employer.
