Students receive individualized and small-group instruction and staff supports.Position PurposeUnder the direct supervision of a certified staff member to assist certified professional staff with students to meet academic social emotional and behavioral goals and objectives.Essential Job FunctionsImplements interventions and de-escalation strategies with students who display significant behavioral issues within the school setting.Collect and accurately record behavioral social academic and other data as required per students specific goals and programming.Consistently communicates and collaborates with staff to foster student success.Assist students with activities of daily living for the purpose of maximizing their ability to participate in school or learning activities including toileting.Implements positive behavior support plans and collects data on student progress.Assists students in non-instructional areas such as supervising the student lunch programs bus duty corridor self-care (toileting) and other related non-instructional areas.Performs other job duties as required or directed by supervisors.Additional Duties:Note: The above description is illustrative of tasks and responsibilities.
