Special Education In-Class Support Aide- Timber Creek Elementary 2025-2026 School Year at Tomball ISD

Primary Purpose: Help special education teacher provide for physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in special education setting. Assist in implementation of classroom programs including self-help behavior management and instruction programs. Work under general supervision of principal and immediate direction of certified teacher.Qualifications:Education/Certification:Associates degree two years (48 hours) of study at an institute of higher learning orhave met formal academic assessmentrequirementsEducational Aide Certificate from the State Board for Educator Certification will berecommended by the district upon hireSpecial Knowledge and Skills:Ability to work with children with disabilitiesAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsAbility to communicate effectivelyKnowledge of general office equipmentMinimum Experience:Prior experience working with childrenWorking ConditionsMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Responsibilities require contact with individuals that may include exposure to disruptive behavior.
