Special Education Paraprofessional Fowler at Mount Pleasant Independent School District

Special education paraprofessionals assist students with special needs under the direction of a certified teacher. They are responsible for assisting the teacher in daily classroom activities helping special needs students by providing support for their physical needs emotional health and safety affirming their abilities and striving to promote dignity in all relationships.In order to provide support for students physical needs special education paraprofessionals may be required to lift students assist with toileting needs and maintain the safety of students who are highly mobile and at times difficult to contain.
