WATERTOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT 14-4JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: Special Education ParaprofessionalWork Days: School calendar term or as assigned at the time of employment or as amended. Hours flexible but not to exceed 7 ½ hours per day with a morning and afternoon break and a ½ hour lunch break; breaks will be pro-rated for shorter contract hours of dutyReports To: Primarily the learning center teacher who is responsible for special education student or students program in the buildingREQUIREMENTS: Special education student(s) in various settings as directed by the IEP and special education teacherJOB SUMMARY: Works directly with the classroom teacher to provide clerical and instructional support of the teacherPERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:Works with student(s) with disabilities under the direction and supervision of the learning center teacherProvides lesson and learning reinforcement through a variety of activities which follow the goals set forth on the childs IEP and which are consistent with the instruction with the teacher.Follow behavior plans and procedures as set down in school policy or in student individual behavior plansProvide assistance in self help and custodial needs including dressing toileting feeding etc.Maintains strict confidentiality regarding student information needs behaviors and programming.Performs other duties as assigned.I have read and understand this job description and can fulfill the essential functions as listed.
