Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAchievement Engineering Corp. (Achieveng) is looking to hire SPECIAL INSPECTORS to join our team! We have many large projects on the horizon and, currently, we are looking to hire full-time Special Inspectors for our projects in the Bay Area, CA. If you meet / possess the following criteria - we want to hear from you!Candidates for this position MUST POSSESS the following certifications:American Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1 CertificationInternational Code Council (ICC) Reinforced Concrete Special InspectorAny of the following additional certifications are desirable but not required:Any / all other ICC Special Inspector CertificationsAny / all other ACI CertificationsNuclear Gauge & Radiation Safety TrainingAmerican Welding Society – Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) CertificationOSHA Safety TrainingAny / all Non-Destructive Testing (NDT / NDE) Level II or Level III Certifications (through ASNT preferred).Additionally, the applicant must meet / possess the following qualifications:Minimum education of a High School Diploma or Equivalent.Available in/near the San Francisco Bay Area, CA.A valid & clean Class C Driver License issued by the California DMV.The ability to read and interpret construction plans & specifications, and to enforce their applications.The ability to keep records & prepare reports.The ability to communicate clearly and concisely through oral methods, such as in-person and/or by telephone, & through written methods, such as via email.A comfortable proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel, and also Adobe Acrobat.Be able & open to learning & applying specific provisions of applicable codes, ordinances, & regulations mandated by appropriate jurisdictions.The ability to perform inspections by applying technical knowledge & following proper inspection techniques to examine workmanship and materials, as well as to detect deviations from plans, regulations, & standard construction practices.The ability to adapt to different working conditions (i.e. sitting, walking, in/outdoor settings, open/closed spaces, etc.).The ability to lift and/or carry a maximum of 50 pounds.Be able & open to establishing & maintaining good working relationships with company personnel & clients alike.Benefits for Full-time Employees:Competitive WagesPaid Vacation, Sick Leave, & HolidaysHealth, Vision, & Dental InsuranceRetirement Plan with Employer MatchingContinuing Education Opportunities & ReimbursementLife & Disability Insurance (Short-Term & Long-Term)Interested??
