To view the full job description click on the following link:MTSS Beahvior SpecialistEmployment Term (days): 210Pay Scale: Administration - Instructional 4Primary Purpose:Responsible for supplementing and supporting behavioral initiatives of the district; coaching supporting and guiding school-based staff in using evidence-based practices to provide positive behavior support for students with tier 3 behavioral needs; providing in-service training performing classroom observations providing feedback and demonstrating the implementation of student-specific tier 3 behavior interventions.Qualification Guidelines:Education/Certifications:Bachelors degreeMasters degree in administration education psychology social work counseling or related field (preferred) or work experience may be substituted for Masters degree if also currently enrolled in a counseling or social work programValid Texas Teaching CertificateExperience:Minimum of one year of successful teaching experienceMinimum of one year in an instructional leadership roleCounseling social work or administration experience (preferred)Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of federal state and local requirements related to social emotional and behavioral needsKnowledge of applied behavioral analysis behavioral principles and intervention strategiesKnowledge of crisis intervention strategiesAbility to evaluate instructional approaches and offer strategies to improve student learningProven ability to work with individuals and families struggling in the areas of social emotional and/or behavioral skillsAbility to provide group professional development and/or individual technical assistanceAbility to multi-task and provide behavior support at numerous sitesAbility to interpret policy procedures data and evaluate programsStrong organizational communication public relations and interpersonal skillsSupervisory Responsibilities:Programmatic supervision for: Student Support Aides Ready to LearnTeachers & ParaprofessionalsRequired Experience:IC Key Skills Applied Behavior Analysis,Developmental Disabilities Experience,Behavior Management,Behavioral Health,Data Collection,Primary Care Experience,Military Experience,Special Education,Autism Experience,Special Needs,Experience with Children,Social Work Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
