The ideal candidate will reside within the territory.This is a unique opportunity to join the Genetics and Womens Health sales team of a leading global life sciences company that advances patient health and powers clear confident decisions through its diagnostics and drug development offerings.This position reports to the Regional Director and will be responsible for effectively communicating and selling the benefits of the Labcorp Genetics and Womens Health commercial products to clinicians and department personnel for their assigned geographic territory.The SDE provides direct sales and services primarily to OBGYNs Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFMs) Reproductive Endocrinologists (IVF) Geneticists Regional reference laboratories and hospitals. The candidate is expected to prospect develop and close his or her own sales targets on a monthly basis. We are seeking an individual with competitive and collaborative sales skills with a high degree of communication and business acumen skills who enjoys growing and working with a seasoned high performing team across a wide variety of high growth segments.The position will call-on physicians in person and will require regular travel (30%-including overnights) within the assigned territory.Essential duties and responsibilities:Sell laboratory testing services to professionals within the Genetics and Womens Healthcare space including OBGYNs MFMs REs Geneticists Regional Reference Labs and HospitalsMeet and exceed sales goals and achieve maximum sales growth in assigned territorySuccessfully build and execute an annual business plan with quarterly updatesCold call and build a sales pipeline that will provide ongoing revenue goal achievementAccurately forecast and maintain a sales funnel of new opportunities in-line with a 90-day quotaEffectively manage travel logistics to maximize sales productivityCollaborate communicate and actively contribute to new business opportunities with Labcorp Clinical Sales counterpartsCollaborate closely with team members to retain current book of businessAttend local and national professional trade shows and events as requestedEffectively communicate value propositions to all targeted customers and prospectsPerform in-services training and implementation with pertinent personnel and physician staffUpdate all relevant customer account information into CRM DataManagement Systems (Salesforce)Provide ongoing customer support education on focus products and market updates for current customer baseRequirements:Bachelors degree preferred. Science background highly desiredMinimum of 5 years medical outside sales experience requiredPrevious experience selling directly to Physicians requiredWomens healthcare experience and relationships with hospital systems OB/GYNs MFMs KOLs highly preferred Previous laboratory or diagnostics sales experience highly preferredMedical device sales experience and business-to-business experience preferredProven success managing a book of businessAbility to collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to grow the businessExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated track record of recent success and sales accomplishmentsStrong consultative selling and closing skillsAbility to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive and complex clinical data as a key factor in the sales processMust have a valid drivers license and clean driving recordAbility to travel 30% including overnightsBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical Dental Vision Life STD/LTD 401(k) Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO) Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
