You will educate and empower caregivers to support their childs growth across home and community settings while also providing supervision and mentorship to Graduate Assistants within the Autism Diagnostic Center. Candidates should bring prior clinical experience in ASD treatment and in assessing the speech language and communication profilesboth typical and atypicalcommonly seen in autistic children. Apply today and help shape the future of autism services in New Mexico.Classification Summary:Classification Standard Duties:Required Education Experience Certification/License EquivalencyKnowledge Skills and AbilitiesJob Duties and Responsibilities comprehensive diagnostic evaluations integrated service plans and consultation with family members and other professionals. 2. Educate family members and caregivers on different strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over of recommendations to community settings. 3. Support collaboration throughout the University community. 4. Provide supervision and guidance to Graduate Assistants working with the Autism Diagnostic Center. 5. Candidate must have previous clinical experience in the treatment of ASD as well as assessing speech and language deficits typically associated with this disorder including typical and atypical child language development and experience with variability within the ASD population.Preferred Qualifications1. Possess the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) 2. Be licensed or be eligible to be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New Mexico 3. Experience with interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary diagnostic teams 4. Bilingual Spanish and English language skills 5. Completion of a LEND training program at a University Center for Excellence in Developmental DisabilitiesSpecial Requirements of the Position1. Must be reliable punctual team-driven and professional 2. Able to independently implement programming without continual supervision 3.
