Classification Title:Speech TherapistJob Description:Conducts developmental evaluation and assessments across all domains(cognitive self help/adaptive fine and gross motor communicative andsocial/emotional as part of a multidisciplinary team using standardized toolscurriculum-based assessments and naturalistic observations to develop informedclinical opinion.Interprets evaluation and assessment results and maintains appropriate recordsProvides trainings and support groups to families staff school personneltherapists and professional organizations.Provides mentorship and training to speech and language interns.Runs specialty clinics within the center and/or community.Participates in developing appropriate developmental outcomes and strategies aspart of the multidisciplinary team.Expected Salary:$65000 to $75000 annually depending on education and experience.Minimum Requirements:A masters degree with a major emphasis in speech-language pathology.Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge and skill in administering analyzing interpreting and explaining evaluation/assessment results to peers other professionals and families.Ability to work independently and effectively with others.Ability to communicate effectively and courteously verbally and in writing.Ability to organize and prioritize assignments.Ability to interact effectively with staff and outside contacts.Valid Florida licensure as a speech language pathologist with certificate of clinical competence (CCC-SLP) issued from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).Ability to communicate effectively and courteously verbally and in writing.One year experience working with children.Must have an active Florida license.Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university/college with certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) issued from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).Special Instructions to Applicants:This is a time-limited position.
