Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: PainterJob DescriptionAs a painter, you will be responsible for preparing and applying finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces on small to mid-sized commercial projects. You will work in crews of 3 to 10 and will need to adapt to non-climate-controlled environments. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience, a strong attention to detail, proficiency with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, and knowledge of safety protocols including OSHA standards.ResponsibilitiesPrepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming to ensure proper paint adhesion and a smooth finish.Apply paint using brushing, rolling, and spraying techniques for both interior and exterior surfaces.Mix paints to achieve precise colors and finishes, including matte, gloss, and textured coatings.Patch holes, smooth seams, and prep drywall for paint.Utilize primers, sealers, epoxies, and specialty coatings used in commercial construction.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in painting.Proficiency with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.Knowledge of OSHA safety protocols.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with construction, drywall finishing, carpentry, and concrete.Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.Ability to work with paint prep and coating techniques.Why Work Here?Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package that is fully covered by the company after five months.Work EnvironmentYou will work on small to mid-sized commercial projects in teams ranging from 3 to 10 employees. The self-performing team currently consists of 27 employees, with plans to ramp up in 2025. The work environment is not climate-controlled, and the schedule is Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with an expected workweek of 42-43 hours.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
