OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTSHoly Cross Medical Group (HCMG) has an excellent full-time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Sports Medicine physician to join our team located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sports Medicine Physician to join HCMG. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive and compassionate care to patients with musculoskeletal conditions.The Sports Medicine Provider specializes in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries. This role emphasizes non-surgical interventions and holistic patient care, bridging the gap between primary care and surgical intervention.Key Responsibilities:Clinical Evaluation:Diagnose and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, from acute injuries to chronic disordersConduct thorough patient examinations, including interpreting diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans Treatment: Recommend and administer non-surgical treatments including, but not limited to, physical therapy referrals, bracing, joint injections under ultrasound guidance, administration of cutting edge orthobiologic treatments (stem cells, PRP)Provide pain management advice and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals as neededPatient Education: Educate patients on their conditions, outlining both surgical and non-surgical treatment optionsAdvise on injury prevention, ergonomic practices, and exercises to improve mobility and strengthConsultation and Referral: Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons to identify cases that might require surgical interventionRefer patients to other medical specialists when their conditions demand treatments outside the realm of orthopedics. Refer patients, as appropriate, to Exercise as Medicine or similar programsRefer patients to other medical specialists when their conditions demand treatments outside the realm of orthopedics. Refer patients, as appropriate, to Exercise as Medicine or similar programs Other Duties: Maintain comprehensive, timely, and up-to-date medical recordsParticipate in team meetings and contribute to the practice's continuous improvement initiativesThe preferred candidate will have experience in outpatient settings, emphasizing non-surgical musculoskeletal care, and familiarity with musculoskeletal ultrasound or other diagnostic tools.Qualifications:Medical Degree from an accredited institutionTraining or extensive experience in non-operative orthopedics or sports medicineValid state medical licenseExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environmentPreferred Experience:Experience in outpatient settings, emphasizing non-surgical musculoskeletal care preferredFamiliarity with musculoskeletal ultrasound or other diagnostic toolsJoin the Holy Cross Medical Group in Fort Lauderdale and become an integral part of our mission to provide exceptional care to our community.
