Conduct general physical and sport-specific testing sessions design and implement safe and effective sports performance programs and consult with and refer to appropriate sports medicine and performance professionals when appropriate.Job RequirementsIn addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:Bachelors Exercise Science orrelated field (Required)Masters- Preferred Masters degree in kinesiology exercise science physical education health sciences strength training or related field3 Years of sports performance experience.Must be willing and able to travel and work irregular hoursMust possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population including but not limited to athletes coaches administrative staff physicians volunteers and other medical personnel.Preferred: 5 years of experience in retail sports performance; certified through the United States Weightlifting Association (USAW) as a Level 1 Sport Performance Coach; experience in the managementand utilization of internal and external load Certified Strength and Conditioning SpecialistBLSValid Drivers LicenseMedium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently and/or up to 10 lbs. constantlyCertified Strength and Conditioning Specialist for Fort Lewis College athletics. Lead and oversee the brand new 10000 square foot Performance Center which includes Sorinex racks State-of-the-Art cardio equipment HyperIce recovery modalities technology and a stocked re-fuelling station. Candidates should have experience leading interns and graduate Assistants and excellent communication with coaches.
