Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSPRINKLER SERVICE TECHNICIANJOB DESCRIPTIONJob Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Diagnoses fire sprinkler system performance through observation, testing and setupDisassembles and reassembles sprinkler systems to perform trouble shooting and preventative maintenanceOperates hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment to perform service to the systemCompletes work orders, task lists and documents to verify work performed as needed to conform to customer invoicing requirementsCompletes documentation of invoicing data based on hours worked and materials or equipment used to perform the serviceExplains the service charges and work performed to the satisfaction of the customer.Reconciles work order documents, vendor packing slips and weekly timesheets for supervisor reviewOther duties as assignedExpectations:Believe In, Live, and Support Our Mission Statement, Core Values and Business Plan DailySafety First Ensure timely and complete submittal of JSAs, Toolbox Talks, Audit Forms, etc. Ensure timely and accurate Incident and Accident ReportingHold yourself accountable for all Safety InitiativesHold yourself accountable for Safe Driving of Company Vehicles Ensure awareness and support of Stop Work AuthorityComplete all Training Requirements – Safety, Certifications, etc.Submit accurate Timesheet – job numbers/names, OT and travel pay, completed on time, etc., support transition to Electronic timesheet submittalEnsure all required documents are complete, accurate and professional, with required signaturesEnsure proper Inventory Management – review, update, and approve packing slips – submitted timely, proper material managementEnsure proper Maintenance and care of equipment – trucks, lifts, tools, etc.Keep jobsites clean and organized Ensure Production Efficiency – awareness of budget vs. actual labor hours and proactive communication with superintendentSupport and Ensure Adherence to Company SOPs – Purchase Orders, Change Orders, etc.Timeliness – at the job on time; attendance; communication with supervisor; paperwork Ensure Customer Satisfaction and respond to Customer Satisfaction Survey feedback improvement opportunitiesMaintain Quality Control i.e. reduce the need for return trips and warranty workMaintain a Professional appearance Communicate effectively and professionally within the department and with internal and external customers Teamwork – maintain positive interactions within your team, local office, etc.Actively Participate in required team meetingsAbility to work overtime, out of town or on-call as neededKnowledge:A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)Ability to maintain on-going required continued education, professional licenses and/or certifications as required by the positionDiagnostic ability as demonstrated through prior experience and/or trainingWork Experience: Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience to include service experience on wet, dry, pre-action and deluge sprinkler systemsSkills and Competencies:Ability to maintain proper documentation on provided electronic device for work performedAbility to meets requirements of company vehicle driving policy which includes a valid Driver’s License and a motor vehicle record in good standingAbility to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle as evidenced by past driving performance record and to adhere to all company safety requirementsAbility to competently use a variety of gauges, meters, measuring instruments, hand and power tools and equipmentAbility to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors and the customerGood math, verbal, written skills as well as good interpersonal skillsBasic to moderate computer skills are desiredAbility to read blueprints and schematic drawingsAbility to follow specific directions (written/verbal), perform a changing variety of duties, repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure and work within precise limits and standards of numerical accuracyAbility to meet customer requirements and maintain an acceptable customer satisfaction rating
