SQL Server Support Engineer at Lighthouse Technology Services

6 Month Contract OpportunityLighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Database Engineer position! This is a 6 month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.What Youll Be Doing:Provide day-to-day operational support for SQL Server database platforms with a focus on user access ticket resolution and system configuration.Manage and respond to incoming requests through ServiceNow ensuring timely resolution and adherence to service level expectations.Support deployment activities including change requests and configuration updates.Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (typically once per quarter) covering after-hours and weekend support as needed.Assist with database infrastructure maintenance including automation tasks and vulnerability remediation efforts.Monitor database environments for performance availability and security issues escalating when necessary.Collaborate closely with engineering teams to maintain stable and secure SQL Server environments.Contribute to process improvements and documentation to support team efficiency and knowledge sharing.Ensure all support activities align with organizational compliance risk and regulatory standards.What Youll Need to Have:3-6 years of experience with relational database systems.Strong experience with SQL Server in production support environments.Proficiency with ticketing systems like ServiceNow.Experience with Windows environments and Python scripting.Proven ability to manage access requests and ticket queues efficiently.Experience working with large system and RDBMS enhancements conversions and production issue resolution.Self-starter with appropriate responsiveness and ability to work independently.Excellent problem-solving and client relationship skills.Pay Range:$45-$60/hrQuestions about any of our jobs Email us atView all of our open jobs here: Key Skills Employee Relations,Forecasting,Information Technology Sales,Account Opening Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1 Monthly Salary Salary: 45 - 60
