Sr. Analyst, Investment Valuation
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Investment Valuation to lead the fair value oversight process for Level 3 investments across our family of closed end funds. This role will take ownership of the various valuation methodologies employed, engage directly with our sub-advisers, auditors, valuation providers, and help guide internal valuation policy.
This position is ideal for someone with deep ASC 820 valuation expertise and strong experience in private credit and/or intellectual-property-based cash-flow valuation.
Own and lead the valuation model oversight process for private credit and royalty assets, among other private asset classes
Conduct advanced valuation analyses including DCF, credit yield, market approaches, and optionality frameworks (e.g., OPM, PWERM)
Perform independent price validation and challenge assumptions provided by sub-advisers
Prepare and present materials to the Valuation Committee
Manage relationships with sub-advisers and external valuation firms; review and challenge their analyses
Serve as the primary point of contact for auditors during valuation testing
Oversee and improve valuation models, templates, and documentation standards
Mentor junior staff and support team development
Interpret credit agreements, royalty contracts, waterfalls, and performance analytics to support valuation conclusions
Identify and implement process improvements for the valuation cycle
Must-haves:
57 years of valuation experience (i.e. fund valuation, valuation consulting, Big 4 valuation practice, private credit, PE, or similar)
Experience with various valuation models including but not limited to income-based approach (DCF, yield analysis), market-based approach (comps, transactions), option-pricing and waterfall models for structured credit and royalty valuation methods
Expertise in ASC 820 fair value and investment company reporting
Strong track record interacting with auditors and valuation specialists
Understanding of private credit or intellectual-property-based cash-flow valuation/royalty valuation
High proficiency in Excel and complex financial modeling
Strong writing and ability to produce executive ready valuation memos
Nice-to-haves:
Prior experience leading or managing valuation processes
Professional credentials: CFA, ASA, CPA (or progress toward them)
Familiarity with structured credit, optionality modeling, and probabilistic cash flow frameworks
