Sr. Applications Developer at NewGen Technologies

Our Partner is seeking a Full-Stack Applications Developer to support the development and O&M of a variety of systems and initiatives focused on streamlining operations automating processes and aligning customer solutions to the overarching digital architecture. The ideal candidate will help promote state-of-the-art IT solutions collaborating with IT mission partners to share technology and lessons learned to ensure records management processes and requirements are included in the early design stages of IT solutions across the Intelligence this individual will work in concert with the customer technical interfaces to ensure future plans for technology are in line with the overall customer architecture.ResponsibilitiesDevelop software applications as web services that are written in Java unless otherwise directed by Sponsor. Examples include Node JS and Angular with Typescript and Springboot with Hibernate and messaging; Java (Groovy on Grails); Scripting languages.Develop and maintain software applications as web services that interact with data stored in Postgres MySQL and other relational databases and/or Cloud technologies such as AWSDevelop upgrade and maintain APis and search with REST-like APis to communicate with other software applications and databases as required by SponsorUtilize XML JSON or other Sponsor standards for data transfer and metadata managementHas experience writing SQL queriesImprove search and website usability and accessibility by leveraging enterprise capabilitiesRequirementsActive TS/SCI FSP ClearanceExperience with MicroservicesExperience with front end development using AngularFamiliarity with Source code management and integration (ex - GitHub/GitLab Jenkins)Experience in an Agile environmentPossess the following skills and capabilities:Design develop and maintain software applications using Java and PythonCollaborate with business analysts UX designers and other developers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutionsImplement and maintain APIs for seamless integration between different systemsOptimize application performance ensuring scalability and securityTroubleshoot and resolve software defects ensuring a high level of quality and reliabilityWork with relational and MySQL databases for data storage and retrievalFollow best practices for coding testing and deploymentParticipate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvementStay updated with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to existing applications process time and supporting legal mandatesAbout UsFor more than 20 years NewGen Technologies has solved our clients toughest IT challenges with integrity security and outstanding service by delivering both technology and talent.
