RWE Clean Energy LLCTo start as soon as possible full time permanentFunctional area: Project Management; Finance / ControllingRemuneration: ExemptThe Senior Associate Estimating assists in the preparation and analysis of detailed cost estimates for renewable energy projects supporting the Preconstruction and Project Execution teams by gathering benchmark data applying estimating methods and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and high-quality project estimates.Role Responsibilities:Assist in gathering and incorporating benchmark data trends and historical pricing to support detailed cost estimatesSupport the creation of indicative and detailed estimates using various estimating methods and software toolsHelp identify risks and opportunities to support a high-quality risk registerRead and interpret contract documents studies and permitsSupport the review and abstraction of contractor bidsHelp organize and participate in project hand-off meetingsAssist in executing project contracts and processing change orders and invoicesUpdate and maintain the pricing databaseFacilitate estimate review sessions for assigned projects aligning teams and resolving issues with support from senior team membersEnsure quality and accuracy of deliverables with growing independence in task ownershipCollaborate with Developers Engineers Preconstruction Project Managers and Project Execution team members to determine the best construction approachAssist in generating bid schedules for RFP packagesJob Requirements and Experiences:Bachelors degree of Science in Engineering or Construction in a related field from an accredited universityMinimum of 3 years of experience in estimating preferably within the renewable energy sectorConstruction experience is preferredProfessional expertise in estimating functions with the ability to resolve a variety of issues and apply advanced analytical skillsProficient in estimating software Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook) SharePoint and TeamsBroad understanding of renewable energy technologies with specialization in at least one areaExperience identifying and mitigating risks determining associated costs and supporting high-quality risk registersStrong math computer and analytical skills including benchmarking should cost analysis and leveraging project data to stress test assumptionsExcellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to build productive internal relationships and manage customer relationshipsDemonstrated leadership organization and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables in a fast-paced dynamic environmentCapable of independently leading estimate review sessions and addressing gaps across departmentsAccountable for reviewing and validating work prepared by junior team members and providing oversight or task coordination as neededMotivated self-starter goal-oriented adaptable to changing priorities and able to multi-task while working independently or as part of a teamStrong business acumen detail-oriented and a sound understanding of business conceptsWillingness and ability to travel to and from job sites as assigned (up to 25% of the time)Demonstrated desire to learn about the company and the renewables spaceResponds well to direction is coachable and open to professional developmentProven ability to empathize build relationships and communicate effectively with people from diverse backgroundsThis position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locationsMust be able to sit walk or stand for long durations of timePay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $91000 - $130000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
