Job Title: Sr. Associate Industrial EngineerJob Code: 31825Job Location: Camden ArkansasJob Schedule: 4/10 Second shift Employees work 10 hour days 4 days a weekJob Description:L3Harris is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to support the Programs/Factories in Camden AR to maximize throughput improve efficiency and deliver increasing value to the customer. Industrial Engineers are responsible for Labor Performance Analyses Process and Value Stream Mapping Line Balancing Capacity Planning Manpower Planning Factory Layouts Factory Simulations Strategic Planning Project Management Continuous Improvement and more. We hope you are as excited about this opportunity as we are.Essential Functions:Model factory operations by generating process flows value stream maps pareto charts spaghetti diagrams and CAD drawings to graphically show production processes the movement of material the exchange of information and key performance indicatorsCalculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraintsApply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce undesirable effects improve efficiency and meet or exceed cost quality and on-time delivery goalsInfluence factory roadmaps and investment strategies by drafting infrastructure improvement and expansion proposals and planning the integration of new products technologies and equipment that create a competitive advantageWork with cross-functional teams to execute projects that address obsolescence improve factory performance and promote growthSupport new production contract/new product proposals and new product integration effortsImprove factory safety and work cell ergonomicsAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearanceQualifications:Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experiencePrior experience working in a Lean environment with demonstrated understanding of Lean principlesExperience leading a team or project to include demonstrated strong teaming skills to work with multiple levels of stakeholders (floor operators peers management etc.)Preferred Additional Skills:Degree such as Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Operations Management Business Supply Chain ManagementStrong oral and written communication skills to include experience creating and facilitating presentations and writing technical reportsExperience/Education with factory layout and work cell design/optimizationExperience/Education with simulation modeling and capacity analysis tools/methodsExperience/Education with project managementExperience with CAD SoftwareExperience with Root Cause and Corrective Action processProficiency in Lean Principles Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints methodologies and toolsChange management skills a self-motivated change agent with bias for action and a sense of urgencyHow to influence and lead others working with high-performing cross functional teams and frontline operators and specialists who assemble test and deliver our products everydayKnowledge of manufacturing and assembly processesExperience using Microsoft Office productsRequired Experience:Senior IC Key Skills Lean Manufacturing,Six Sigma,Continuous Improvement,GM Vehicles,Lean,Industrial Engineering,Value Stream Mapping,Assembly Experience,Warehouse Management System,Autocad,Kaizen,Manufacturing Employment Type : Full Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
