Thats why our team is looking to add a Senior Data Analyst.As a Senior Data Analyst in GWS you will leverage analytic and technical skills to innovate build and maintain well-managed data solutions and capabilities to tackle business problems. On any given day you will be challenged on three types of work Innovation Business Intelligence and Data Management.An Ideal Candidate Would Possess:Demonstrate proficiency in the knowledge skills and insight required in roleHave a strong ability to use data to tell compelling stories that drive actionBe able to communicate clearly concisely and with sufficient detail/context to various audiences including senior executivesPositively reflect the GWS brand when interacting with customersOffers opinions and ideas to immediate team to help improve work processes and products Understands key drivers behind assigned tasksUnderstand expectations to prioritize tasks effectively and keep others informedLeverage data analysis to Investigates the root cause of issues to develop solutionsBe collaborative and contribute to team deliverablesHave expertise in a Science Technology Engineering Mathematics disciplineHave scripting experience in (Python R Spark and SQL)Possess a passion in working in various forms of data (data warehouses/SQL unstructured data)Be experienced utilizing and developing within AWS servicesKey Responsibilities:InnovationUse Open Source/Digital technologies to mine complex voluminous and different varieties of data sources and platformsBuild well-managed data solutions tools and capabilities to enable self-service frameworks for data consumersDemonstrate ability to explore and quickly grasp new technologies to progress varied initiativesBusiness IntelligencePartner with the business to provide consultancy and translate the business needs to design and develop tools techniques metrics and dashboards for insights and data visualizationDrive analysis that provides meaningful insights on business strategies and data managementData ManagementDrive an understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management including metadata lineage and business definitionsWork collaboratively with appropriate Tech teams to manage security mechanisms and data access governanceBuild and execute tools to monitor and report on data qualityBasic Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in a Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics disciplineAt least 5 years of experience in data analyticsAt least 1 years of experience in at least one scripting languageAt least 1 years of experience utilizing a business intelligence visualization toolsAt least 1 years of experience in querying and analyzing and working with data languages and platformsPreferred Qualifications:Masters Degree in a Science Technology Engineering Mathematics disciplineAt least 2 years of experience coding in Python R Spark or SQLAt least 2 years of experience working within process management and improvement methodologies Agile Lean Six Sigma etc.At least 1 year of experience utilizing and developing within AWS servicesAt least 1 year of experience working with and demonstrating knowledge of data governance data quality management concepts and data quality tools (i.e. Informatica DQ)At this time Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.McLean VA: $109000 - $124400 for Sr. Data AnalystRichmond VA: $99100 - $113100 for Sr. Data AnalystCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
