As a member of our team youll gain hands-on experience in the real estate industry and benefit from a supportive environment that fosters personal and professional growth.Why This Role Is Valuable The Sr. Accountant of BREIT SEC Reporting is responsible for the preparation and review of Investment and Fund Level Reporting in accordance with GAAP along including financial statement and footnote disclosures for quarterly and annual SEC filings. The Sr. Accountant will partner with the BREIT portfolio companies and asset class leads in preparing consolidated financial statement and investment level analysis. This position is based out of Revantages headquarters in Chicago IL.How You Add ValueFunctionalPrepare and review monthly/quarterly/annual reports with a focus on BREIT SEC reporting including but not limited to:Financial reports (Income Statement Balance Sheet Equity Statement Statement of Cash Flows)Footnote preparationDebt schedulesGround lease scheduleIntangible amortization schedulesCoordinate preparation and support for quarterly Statement of Cash flows involving reaching out to Blackstone real estate portfolio companies and asset class teams to determine detailed drivers for movements in accounts such as other assets and other liabilitiesCoordinate report updates and reviews with managers and accountants on the BREIT teamConfirm that BREIT SEC reporting is in accordance with GAAP ensuring results properly reflect the companys financial positionAssist in the preparation of annual audited financial statements including footnote disclosures and supporting schedulesAssist with technical accounting questions as encountered during quarterly and annual reporting cycleDocument standard operating procedures for SEC BREIT reportingPartner with Revantage leadership to streamline reporting and provide greater insight to operationsRelationship Management Accountable to Blackstone and its real estate portfolio companys satisfaction with the accounting teams performance responsiveness and interactions Lead initiatives to ensure smooth business partner experience across the teamRespond to business partner inquiries and commit to deliverables by leveraging resources across the team Become day-to-day go-to person for Revantage business partners including portfolio company joint venture partners and Blackstone Partner with other team members to identify and drive external relationships with the teams key contacts and stakeholders including third-party accounting departments and third-party operators accounting teamsAssist BREIT teams with fund level reporting as-neededWhat You Bring To The RoleRequired:Bachelors Degree with a major in Finance Accounting or closely related fieldBig 4 public accounting experienceMinimum 3 years of experience in accounting financial analysis and reportingAdvanced knowledge of US GAAPAdvanced knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel Word and PowerPointAdvanced knowledge of accounting software and databases (Workday Yardi)Proficient understanding of financial models corporate financials and regulatory marketExcellent communication problem solving and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environmentPreferred:CPA certificationReal estate industry experienceBase Compensation Range:$110000.00 To $130000.00 Annually. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Companys base compensation range for this position.
