Our client is has carved out a strong CPA business serving Not-For-Profits (NFPs) in central Ohio and is continuing to grow. Business growth and succession planning call for professionals to join the team.Characteristics and aptitudes of successful Auditors in this firm:A passion for the work done by NFP organizations and a desire to make NFPs successful in their mission. An affinity for doing good.Ability to flex and adapt to new scenarios and challenges.Exceptional communication / interpersonal skills and strong emotional intelligence to read and relate to a broad range of clients.A solid grasp of accounting fundamentals and track record of ongoing professional growth.Sound like you Heres a few more specifics:3 or more years of broad based accounting experience to include insight and understanding of financial statements and reports familiarity with the GL / Chart of Accounts and curiosity to identify things that dont look right and research and resolve them.Experience in audit either internal audit or external.Experience working with a broad range of outside stakeholders ranging from bookkeeping and accounting staff through Executives and Directors.Public accounting background is a plus but not required.Experience working with or in NFP organizations is a plus but not required.Achievement or actively pursuing the CPA.Savvy with common software such as UltraTax Excel and others.So why this oneSatisfaction in knowing the work you do is truly benefitting our community and that you are making a positive impact.Life balance.
