You will also guide entry-level staff and support equipment maintenance to uphold quality and safety standards.What Youll Be DoingManage shipment and storage of clinical samples ensuring accurate identification sorting and labelingMaintain freezers and inventory systems to support specimen managementMonitor scheduled and ad hoc requests to ensure timely completionGuide and mentor entry-level staff on departmental procedures and onboardingIdentify and mitigate risks that may impact client deliverablesRespond to after-hour alarms and other critical functions as neededAssist in reviewing and developing specimen management procedures and techniquesParticipate in cross-functional projects and implement process improvementsWhat We Are Looking ForBachelors degree in a scientific discipline (Biology Chemistry or related field)Minimum 1 year of related laboratory or biorepository experienceProficiency with laboratory techniques such as pipetting sample handling and inventory managementOther Equivalent combination of education training and experience may be accepted in lieu of degreeThe Knowledge Skills and Abilities Needed for This RoleStrong attention to detail accuracy and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel; ability to learn laboratory information systemsEffective communication and mentoring skills; ability to collaborate across teams and projectsFor Marietta and Valencia positions 100-130: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequent standing and walking occasional sitting close eye work requirement (computer typing reading small prints).
