Through proprietary, ground-up technology, we are changing the landscape and are empowering client companies to provide broader access to the best retirement services possible while significantly lowering administration costs and increasing efficiency, profitability, and competitiveness, far beyond industry expectations.Role:As a SENIOR CLOUD PLATFORM ENGINEER, focusing on AWS technology and reporting directly to the Senior Director of Platform Architecture, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure that powers our reliable, high-performing, and scalable platforms. As a member of our Platform Architecture team, your AWS expertise will play a vital role in helping optimize our cloud environments, improve performance, and enhance security. The team is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing the frameworks and infrastructure to align with application, platform, and system requirements. The team collaborates closely with software, site reliability, security and other engineering teams to ensure that the finalized infrastructure and application architecture align with security, scalability, reliability, and availability standards.Responsibilities:The essential responsibilities and duties for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Designs, deploys, and manages AWS EKS clusters, ensuring high availability and scalability.Works with AWS ECS (Fargate) to implement serverless container orchestration.Sets up, configures, and maintains message brokers (Amazon MQ, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ) for distributed applications.Manages and optimizes Amazon RDS for SQL databases, including performance tuning and high availability.Implements and fine-tunes Amazon Redshift for data warehousing, providing high-performance analytics.Develops and maintains infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.Designs and configures tooling like CloudWatch and Datadog to maintain the health, performance, and security of AWS environments.Collaborates with internal stakeholders and platform engineering teams to understand specific business needs and recommend appropriate AWS services.Leverages the AWS Well-Architected Framework to ensure operational excellence, security, reliability, performance efficiency, cost optimization, and sustainability of AWS environments.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification is strongly preferred.Proven experience in designing and managing AWS cloud services with expertise in EKS, Fargate, MQ, RDS, and Redshift.Proficiency in containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team and client-facing environments.Must be US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible to work in the US permanently.IRALOGIX is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a team that embraces diversity, represents a variety of backgrounds, and upholds inclusiveness.
