Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJOB TITLE: Sr. Controls Service TechnicianSTATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)DEPARTMENT: ServiceREPORTS TO: Service Manager or Operations SupervisorJOB SUMMARY: The Sr. Controls Service Technician perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building automation systems and their components. As a Sr. Controls Service Technician you will provide analysis of building control and HVAC system performance in buildings; provide accurate and complete documentation in a timely manner; perform DDC controls startup/programming as required and cct as liaison to customer, and electrical installer. CONTROLS SERVICE TECHNICIAN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Preventative Maintenance Tasking (Database Back-ups, Control System Analysis, Network Analysis and Optimization, Central Equipment Controls Performance Testing, Customer Training)Execute Service Quoted ProjectsTroubleshoot DDC Control and Mechanical Systems when necessaryReplace Failed Components as necessaryProvide Consistent Communications (Supervisor, Service Coordinator, Account Managers, and Customer)On call as scheduledSKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of HVAC DDC Control Theory & ApplicationsProficient with Alerton, Distech, Delta, Niagara, or Tridium programmingExperience with electronics and basic electrical circuitsStrong troubleshooting skillsComputer hardware and software skillsAbility to work independently and unsupervisedStrong communications and interactive skillsCREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:AA degree in applied technology (preferred)Equivalent combination of education and experienceHVAC and/or Mechanical systems experienceComputer programming experienceTroubleshooting experience5+ years of BACnet controls experience.This job description is intended to provide information regarding the essential functions and basic duties of this position.
