Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond.  Together, we advance your career.  THE ROLEThe Sr. Data Center Solutions Product Manager owns the system-level product definition, integration readiness, and launch readiness for AMD-based solutions that combine hardware and software into a deployable, supportable offering. This role translates customer and segment needs into clear, testable requirements spanning platform hardware, firmware/drivers, software stack, and ecosystem dependencies (OEM/ODM/ISV/cloud).At the Data Center Solutions Senior Product Manager level you independently lead complex, cross-functional solution scopes across one major segment (e.g., Hyperscaler AI, Enterprise, or HPC) and/or a horizontal solution domain with minimal supervision. Success is measured by the quality of system requirements, compatibility/supportability, integration clarity, and GA readiness.THE PERSONYou are a strong systems thinker with the ability to connect workload requirements to hardware/software architecture and lifecycle constraintsTechnically credible with Engineering and TME; effective with PMM, Sales, Ops, and xBU PMsYou operate well in ambiguity and consistently turn it into structured decisions, documented tradeoffs, and executable plansA high ownership mindset is your trademark; drive alignment and closure across teams without formal authorityExcellent written and verbal communications for executive audiences; You have a track record of producing high-quality artifacts and communicating risk clearly to leadershipPragmatic and data-driven; you distinguish between customer requests and product requirementsYou demonstrate mature judgment in balancing performance, supportability, schedule, and ecosystem readinessKEY RESPONSIBILITIESOwn system-level product definition (HW + SW)Author and maintain System Requirements Specifications (SRS) for solutions spanning hardware platform, firmware/driver, software stack, compatibility, manageability, and lifecycle expectationsDefine assumptions, constraints, non-goals, and acceptance criteriaTranslate customer/segment needs into prioritized requirementsConsolidate and normalize customer, Sales, OEM/ODM partner, and internal stakeholder inputs into a structured, prioritized requirements backlog with decision rationaleEnsure requirements are workload-grounded and aligned to segment outcomesLead cross-functional dependency and integration planningIdentify dependencies across silicon/platform, firmware/drivers, ROCm/software stack, frameworks, OEM systems, and cloud imagesSurface integration risks early, drive tradeoff discussions, and maintain decision logsSet performance targets and benchmarking expectations (with TME/Eng)Define workload-level performance goals and proof requirementsEnsure performance claims are tied to reproducible methodology and validated configurationsSupport launch readiness and field enablementProvide accurate “product truth” to PMM and Sales, including supported configs, limitations, known issues, prerequisites, and proof pointsContribute to launch briefs, release notes, demo/reference configuration alignment, and field FAQsRun post-launch feedback and escalation triageStructure field feedback intake and prioritize top issuesHelp determine whether a hotfix, point release, or roadmap action is appropriate; feed learnings into sustaining and next-gen requirementsMaintain stakeholder alignment and visibilityPublish regular status, risks, decisions, and asks to Eng, TME, PMM, Ops, Sales/FAE, and xBU PMsEscalate with clear options and tradeoffs when decisions are neededPREFERRED EXPERIENCESenior level, cross functional, large enterprise experience in Product Management, Solutions Product Management, Technical Product Management, Systems Engineering, or related roles in:Data center infrastructureAI/ML platformsHPC systemsEnterprise solutionsIntegrated hardware + software productsStrong working knowledge of several of the following:Platform/system architecture (power/thermals, topology, I/O, networking, memory, RAS)Firmware/driver and software stack dependenciesBenchmarking methodology and reproducibilityDemonstrated experience defining and launching system-level solutions requiring coordination across hardware, firmware, drivers, software frameworks, and partner ecosystems.ACADEMIC CREDENTIALSBachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field strongly desiredMaster degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MBA or related field preferredAn equivalent combination of education and relevant experience  This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.#LI-MP2#LI-HYBRIDBenefits offered are described:  AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
