Sr DevOps Engineer at Scientific Research Corporation

DescriptionIn support of the US Navy SIGINT mission the DevOps Engineer will be a member of the Afloat Signals Exploitation (ASE) team contributing to the design and implementation of US Navy mission applications in a cloud environment on the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS). The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) Microsoft Azure Google Cloud Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and a history of direct involvement with successful cloud based engineering efforts.Designing and building the cloud environment necessary to support US Navy mission applications using the latest CI/CD technologiesSupporting the DevOps team in refactoring/transitioning legacy software applications to a cloud based micro-service architectureDeveloping custom scripts or small compiled applications based on internal and external customer requestsResearching and recommending innovative and feasible automated approaches for software integration/developmentBeing a team player dedicated to program support capable of multitasking and working several complex and diverse tasks with simultaneous or near simultaneous deadlinesBeing a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision; a person who is open to new ideas#LI-LL1RequirementsBachelors degree in a relevant technical discipline and eight or more years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMust possess an active TS/SCI clearanceExpert with AWS Cloud hosting platform and core AWS services (S3 RDS EC2 VPC CloudFront)Five or more years of hands on experience designing developing and operating an enterprise level CI/CD pipelineFive or more years of experience with Atlassian products (Bitbucket Jira Confluence)Five or more years of experience with automated build tools (Jenkins Git)Five or more years of experience with container management/deploymentStrong experience with Ansible/Ansible TowerStrong problem solving skills and must be able to work independently and/or lead a small teamHave developed communication skills and the ability to express thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely employing technical writing techniquesDesired SkillsStrong experience with JFrog ArtifactoryClearance InformationSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVELTravel RequirementsUp to 5% travel requiredAbout UsScientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry as well as independent institutions.
