A key focus of the role will be managing and optimizing the overall cost of payments ensuring eBay delivers best-in-class economics while maintaining a trusted compliant and seamless experience for buyers and sellers.You will lead the development and growth of eBays financial ecosystem across payments credit lending insurance and other value-added financial solutions to drive customer engagement and long-term business value.This role reports to the VP & GM eBay Services and collaborates closely with partners across product finance legal compliance and risk. The Sr. Director will directly manage teams focused on business development partnerships and operations. This role works cross-functionally with Product Engineering and GTM to influence and deliver business outcomes.WHAT YOULL DODefine and lead the Financial Services vision and business strategy developing multi-year strategic and financial plans identifying growth opportunities and aligning cross-functional execution.Own the P&L delivering on financial targets managing budgets and driving operational efficiency across the financial services portfolio.Build and manage strategic partnerships by identifying negotiating and overseeing relationships with associations banks fintechs insurers and other financial institutions.Oversee business operations to ensure compliance governance and excellence in execution across partner and operational processes.Shape the customer and partner experience by delivering trusted financial solutions that strengthen engagement and retention across eBays marketplace.Collaborate across eBay by working with product engineering legal risk and finance to scale and sustain financial services innovation.Represent eBay Services externally with industry partners and stakeholders to advance eBays financial services presence and influence.SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE15-20 years of progressive leadership experience in Financial Services Payments or Business Development ideally within a global technology or financial organization.Proven success as a General Manager or Business Unit Leader with direct P&L accountability of over $1B.Deep knowledge of payments credit lending and insurance ecosystems.Demonstrated success in strategic partnership management and large-scale negotiations.Strong commercial financial and operational acumen.Executive-level communication collaboration and influencing skills across complex organizations.Experience building high-performing teams and driving measurable business results.Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Finance or a related discipline.WHY JOIN USAt eBay youll join a passionate team shaping the future of global commerce. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave).
