Reporting to the Mission Assurance Director the Sr. EEE/PM&P Engineer provides assurance to deliver affordable high-performance satellite systems that provide product lifecycle reliability and safety and meet internal specifications and customer contract requirements.Key Duties and Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the Engineering EEE Parts Manager to advise design engineers on parts selection based on part reliability availability and manufacturing processesEvaluate EEE and PM&P contract requirements to identify and resolve gapsEvaluate performance reliability safety and value considerations of EEE parts in product design to comply with company standards and customer requirementsServe as the prime interface with customers on parts materials and process requirementsSupport reliability risk mitigation by bringing together supply chain design engineers and production/manufacturing and driving to closureUse reliability analysis failure models and reliability metrics to assess PM&P-related risks. Use software tools (e.g. Sherlock) to simulate PCBA stresses that impact flight reliability and provide corrective design solutionsAdvise engineering on parts selection based on reliability availability and manufacturing processesAssess part reliability risks and provide feedback to guide selectionEvaluate electrical thermal and mechanical characteristics of integrated circuits components sub-components and PCBAs to determine root cause of failure.
